> One of the main points for jagged curves in pstricks is the fact that postscript works only for 6 decimal digits. You should take some measures to reduce your data here or the interpretation of them.

I see, well that should not be a problem, I don't think I need accuracy beyond 4 or 5 digits, and I guess I can always multiply everything by 1000 or so and redefine units.

> A second point is the curve itself. I you have data which are nearly on a (curved or bezier) line, use few data, but if you are near a minimum or a maximum, use more data (or produce them by smaller x-values and add them to the rest). Times ago I worked with Mathematica on a NextStep platform (prerunner of MAC today), I got the coordinates this way, so it should not be out of the way.

Well now that you mention this, my system is a fast-slow system with a very abrupt change in behaviour, so I will need to address this issue. The jagged aspect was observed on the Roessler example from the pstricks documentation. My own data is more refined, so fingers crossed I won't have the problem. At this time, all I'm able to plot is pretty much a straight line, so I can't quite yet comment on its aspect, I need more work to get there yet.

> Third: I mean to remember that Herbert Voss mentioned in his book (which I don't have any more) that there are ways to reduce the data, e.g. you read only each second or third number. At least this might be a way.

Okay, will keep that in mind,

A great thanks to you for these useful tips.
