[pstricks] weird error

hi list,

has anyone experienced something like this before:

\psset{unit=.7cm}
\begin{pspicture}
stuff
\end{pspicture}

does NOT generate a pdf at the end, while

\psset{unit=.8cm}%tested some other values, no problem! only with .7;  
really funny;
\begin{pspicture}
same stuff
\end{pspicture}

behaves normally

?????
