Herbert:

I thought I would let you know that I tried to buy your book (your typesetting math in latex is excellent) about setting tables in latex but after several months Amazon informed me that the supplier could not supply the book. Here is the exact message:

"Hello,

Due to a lack of availability from our suppliers, we will not be able to obtain the following item(s) from your order:

Herbert Voss "Typesetting Tables with LaTeX"

We've cancelled the item(s) and apologize for the inconvenience. We must also apologize for the length of time it has taken us to reach this conclusion. Until recently, we had still hoped to obtain these item(s) for you."

I'm not sure if this comes as a surprise but your books are very handy and I find it unfortunate. Jon

That would be the easiest, if it worked. If you don't have MacTeX 2009, then it's a large download (1.2GB) from http://www.tug.org/mactex/2009/, but the installation is just about completely automatic. To get the latest pstricks packages, you could download the compressed TDS from http://archiv.dante.de/~herbert/---you want PSTricks-TDS.tgz. Double-click on it to decompress it to a folder named PSTricks-TDS in your Downloads folder. Assuming this is ~/Downloads/PSTricks-TDS, you would start Terminal and type
