[pstricks] Use TeXShop with pstricks

Since I don't use pstricks for every document I usually use the menu option so I don't change any preference defaults.

Load up the pstricks packages in the preamble you want (e.g. \usepackage{pstricks}) then click on the TeXShop menu item "Typeset" (not the Typeset command from the editor menu bar). Choose "TeX and DVI" from the list. Now you can click "Typeset" from the editor window (or use CTRL T) and the options to LaTeX discussed earlier will be applied. Remember, if you choose this method, when you start a new document or relaunch TeXShop the defaults will apply.
