[pstricks] problems after update to ubuntu 10.10

Dear all,

After update to Ubuntu 10.10 a few days ago, first I got a problem with
pstricks: 
l.1376 \psset[pst-plot]{ticksize=-4pt 4pt}
but document would still produce pdf using latex-dvips-ps2pdf

Then I decided to update pstricks and pstricks-add and after that
original error has been solved, but instead I got all kinds of problems
with items (e.g. ! LaTeX Error: Something's wrong--perhaps a missing
\item), bibliography, etc 

If I ignore all this errors, it seems that I obtain a full-length
document, but to make it even worse, when I want to convert ps to pdf
using ps2pdf it gives me the following error:
