[pstricks] Pstricks not working

Dear Mr. Voss,

Of course I had another look why things did not work (e.g. [97]pstricks). The reason was evident: there was a pstricks.sty file in the folder and of course that was always chosen first.
Getting rid of it allowed then \usepackage[97]{pstricks}. 

But the error that drawing commands were not possible, was until then true.
A pstricks-file with only non-drawing-commands did run and placed text 
in the right position - but once a psline command was additioned, the whole page
went down (but the TeX run did not finish)
