[pstricks] Surface-Plot from tabulated Data

Hello all,

the question I'm asking has already been treated some time ago 
(http://tug.org/mailman/htdig/pstricks/2007/004690.html), but the issue 
has not been really closed then. Maybe, anyone has found a solution in 
the meantime...?

In short: Is there a possibility to produce a surface-plot like it 
results from the use of, e.g., \parametricplotThreeD, but where the 
'function values' f(x,y) are read from a table?

Any suggestions are appreciated.
