[pstricks] Difficulties with pst-pdf

I'm not sure.

We're using the macros of Donald Story (www.acrotex.net)  and they  
drive a lot of javascript into our final pdf files.  He uses  
Distiller from Acrobat for this purpose, but so far we've managed to  
use pdflatex.

A quick try on the file I sent:

$ latex --shell-escape inspect_quiz.tex

OK. But this is not hopeful.

$ dvips -o inspect_quiz.ps inspect_quiz.dvi

Note that an absolute path or a relative path with .. are denied in - 
R2 mode.

is it possible to use latex->dvips->ps2pdf instead of pdflatex?
