[pstricks] not backwards compatible

Can you give some examples?
I am pretty sure, that the core packages are backwards compatible!
Other additional packages are not because some are under heavy development.
To mention just a popular one: pstricks-add explicitely states in the 
abstract:
"pstricks-add will for ever be an experimental and dynamical package, 
try it at your own risk."
