[pstricks] pst-grad

Dear PSTricks colleagues,

Quite likely is PSTricks the LaTeX package that I explicitly used the most.
Nonetheless, despite using it for so many years, I must honestly say that I did
it on a very "basic" manner, with very old, deeply-entrenched habits from the
2.09 era. This puts me in some difficulty when trying to experiment with the
more advanced tools that are provided by the package.

Recently, I wanted to add "gradient" features to my PSTricks figures. However,
I failed completely to get usable results. The small codes that I generated
were compiled and the dvips went well, but Ghostview does not render the files,
aborting with an error message. 

Enclosed, please find the PSTricks sequence I used and the LaTeX and dvips
outputs. Furthermore, I also enclosed the error reported by Ghostview. 

I should be extremely grateful if you enlightened me a bit in the matter. I
thank you in advance for your kind help.
