Andreas's modified sources for fig2dev will build on Linux and the 
executable can replace the one in XFig.

The build can be a little annoying because you need imake.

We have been trying to reach Bryan Smith the maintainer of XFig to ask 
him to incorporate the driver in the official XFig release, but he has 
not responded.
