I was wrong, sorry; there was indeed a spurious
blank on line 176 of xkeyval.tex which has been
sitting there for quite some time now. Strange
that we didn't find it before...

Anyway, sorry for the trouble. I'll release an
update asap.

PS: to solve the issue directly, open xkeyval.tex,
go to line 176 and add a `%' at the end of the line.
