[pstricks] (no subject)

Hello,
 
I am a beginner with pstricks. I tried to typeset the following file:
\documentclass{article}

\usepackage{pstricks}

\begin{pspicture}(0,0)(1,1)\showgrid

\psline(0,0)(1,1)

\end{pspicture}

\end{document}

I received the following error message:

(E:\PCTeX32\TEXINPUT\pstricks.con)))

! Undefined control sequence.

l.6 \begin{pspicture}(0,0)(1,1)\showgrid

 

I need some assistance.
