I suppose that you are also loading pictex, which
defines a lot of new dimens. Laod pstricks first or
use eTeX instead of TeX, which is nowadays the default.

or use pictexwd. In general there is no need to use
pictex when using PSTricks, because it is much more
powerful than pictex.
