[pstricks] testing pstricks

Hello,
 
I am running pstricks for the first time.
 
I have the following in my file:
 
\usepackage{pstcol}
\usepackage{pst-plot}
 
 
\begin{pspicture}(0,0)(1,2)\showgrid
\psline(0,0)(1,1)
\end{pspicture}
 
During typesetting, I received the following error message:

I have no idea what the error means. Could you please help me. Again, I
am just trying to test pstricks so I can incorporate it in my latex
documents.
