I discovered that the problem I have been having is that Windvi does not
respond correctly position boxes that have been placed by \rput if
special coordinates are used.  The ps file is fine.  My apologies.

Windvi does such a good job of ps inclusions that do not involve
rotation, that it didn't occur to me that it was a viewer problem, not a
ps output problem.
