  Rather than defining new macros, the best way when possible is to extend
existing ones. The design of PSTricks (and generally of a macro language as
(La)TeX, but specially with the powerful management of optional parameters by
PSTricks) allow to do that conveniently. So, it is easy to add a "log"
parameter to \psaxes, using the "none/x/y/all" values, as for "ticks" and
"labels" parameters.

  And it is clearly easier to change the labels than to change the tick marks
(in any case \psaxes has only major tick marks and no minor ones). The only
difficulty is to manage the negative values in logarithmic mode.

  I submit my solution to Paulo Abreu for evaluation. We will see tomorrow if
it correspond to what he has in mind...
