While ProTeXt isn't a "program" itself, its not listed inside "Program
Files". Therefore you'll have to uninstall the single components, i.e.
MiKTeX and TeXMakerX.

They are both the same. Its normal to store a file a) under a name
containing version-number and release-date and b) link the content to
another easier name.
