[pdftex] Problem with pdftex not finding \listing though eplain.tex read

This isn't likely a pdftex issue, or related to rebuilding the binary.

\listing has always been part of eplain. So the error is puzzling,
especially since it apparently successfully read several eol.* files
beforehand.  I can only surmise the \listing control sequence is getting
undefined somehow.

If you can send me eol.tex and all the eol.* input files, I can try to
reproduce it here. If you want to debug it yourself, try putting
\loggingall into eol.tex and search the resulting .log for \listing to
see if anything shows up.
