[pdftex] can't open pdf with acrobat

I don't know much about pdftex, but almost certainly you need to provide the mailing list
with:

1.  The "most basic LaTeX script" that you used (and details on how you used it, as
    appropriate)

and

2.  What symptoms you get when you can't open the files with acrobat.
