[pdftex] TeX capacity exceeded, sorry [save size=5000].

Hi,

I am seeing the following error on using pdflatex to generate PDF docs.
! TeX capacity exceeded, sorry [save size=5000].

Based on the suggestions given on some other sites I tried increasing the
'save_size' parameter value in "/usr/share/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf".
Everything works fine when 'save_size' is increased.

But my problem is I cannot update this texmf.cnf file.
Is there is way to provide the value for 'save_size' when running pdflatex
command?

Or is there any other solution to the problem of 'TeX capacity exceeded'?
