[pdftex] Command => PDF

Hello ...

pdflatex (filename.tex) will convert the
LaTex file to a .pdf file ...

need to run it through latex first

latex (filename.tex)

you then can view the .pdf file

you can also convert a postscript file to a .pdf file by
usinging the following command ..

ps2pdf filename.ps
