[pdftex] How to produce outlines?

I'm new with pdftex and am wondering how to produce outlines in a left window
of xpdf screen.

In the pdftex manual I found the \pdfoutline command, but don't know how to use
it.

Please, an example of how to produce outlines with the \pdfoutline command?
