[pdftex] [OT] Asking for help with designing

Dear list,

[sorry about this OT question]

I am doing a bible typesetting, and need help with
fine-tuning the design for that job. All instructions I get
is a sample pdf (please don't ask why it is so, it's a
rather long story). My plea is that is here anyone who is
experienced with typesetting design and can give me some
consultation? Unfortunately we don't have the budget to hire
a designer for this job.
