[pdftex] pdfpages question (fwd)

I wrote to Andreas Matthias asking if there was any way to use pdfpages 
that will preserve internal links in the included file.  His answer was to 
write to this list, which I am doing.

Yes, there is. Write to the pdftex mailinglist that you would like
to have such a feature. (<http://tug.org/pipermail/pdftex/>)
This has nothing to do with pdfpages, it is a exclusively a
restriction of pdftex. Three years ago I tried to write a patch, but
the developers of pdftex were not convinced that such a feature
was needed by any users at all. So the only thing to do is: Tell
the developers of pdftex!

ps: Just a few days ago I've got a mail from another user with
exactly the same concern. And I get about 10 mails per year from
users requesting such a feature. Unfortunately hardly anyone writes
to the pdftex mailinglist.
