[pdftex] Making a composite document (hyperref and a problem with links)

Sometimes one needs to create a pdf document consisting of the
different parts, which should be made from the latex source files with
rather different preambles (different sets of packages should be
loaded). It is easy, even if there are cross-references between parts
(using xr.sty) to create these parts and then swap them with gs (or Acrobat).

However, if one loads hyperref and xr-hyper, after this swap links
between different pdf files would not become the links between the
different parts of the new pdf document.

Is it possible to overcome this obstacle?

Thank you very much in advance.
