Could be it /usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/tex/context/base/mult-sys.tex
I don't have cont-sys.tex


In this folder only  sys-pdt.tex contains
\pdfobjcompresslevel


Also in the previous message you mentioned acrosave. Is it just saving
via Acrobat?
