i was rather wondering about treatment of nested links, i.e.
when there is a link inside a link:

\pdfstartlink AAA \pdfstartlink BBB \pdfendlink CCC \pdfendlink

it is probably valid in pdftex (though i didn't test), but i was
wondering how it will be interpreted by a PDF viewer? if you click on
"BBB", which link the viewer is supposed to execute? the outer one, or
the inner one? does it make sense to have such nested links at all?
