[pdftex] lucida bright missing ff in pdflatex

the commonest problem people have using lucida fonts with tex is
choosing the wrong set of metrics to go with the type 1 fonts they
have.  the lucida font metrics on ctan go with type 1 fonts as bought
from y&y.  unfortunately, many crippled versions of lucida are
available in various other ways (e.g., by way of licensing deals by
operating system suppliers, for use as screen fonts and the like).

where did you get your fonts, and where did you get your metrics?
