[pdftex] problem with hyperref and tables

FYI, I made considerable effort to turn up something regarding this issue
with net searches before posting, including searching the UK TeX FAQ. Entry
250---the one you've pointed to---is sufficiently brief as to produce no
hits if the search string happens to include "table" or "incorrect" instead
of "cross-reference" or "wrong".
The pdfTeX FAQ is sufficiently short as to be basically useless, as is the
five yar old hyperref documentation; spending much time looking there is
clearly of little use, but more than a few google trawls failed to turn up
anything relevant either. Before jumping to the conclusion searches are
failing because of lack of depth or breadth you might want to think about
the odds of a keyword search failing due to a phrase mismatch. ;~)
To confirm,
\caption{}
\label{}
does indeed work fine.
Thanks for the response,
Todd

this is nothing to do with pdftex, per se: please review _other_ faqs
as well as any pdftex reviewing, before posting. this question is
answered at
