[pdftex] Conversions, WAS MS Word hell, TeX heaven?

I got tripped up by it, putting xa0 between all the words in a document that 
Tex then did not like ...  suspect that was  due to  's in what was 
probably the original HTML (I was sent Word). (?HTML to Word to Abiword to 
Latex.)
(Yes a whole file with non-breaking spaces!)

Anyway to add to the choices wvWare offers the following programs that 
convert Word files:
	wvAbw         wvHtml        wvMime        wvSimpleCLX   wvWare
	wvCleanLatex  wv-incconfig  wvPDF         wvSummary     wvWml
	wvConvert     wvLatex       wvPS          wvText        
	wvDVI         wv-libconfig  wvRTF         wvVersion 
Not sure what the underlying systems are (the PDF 'must' comes via pdflatex 
though!).

Said to also work with password protected Word files (if you have the 
password).
