[pdftex] hunting strange colour behaviour in pdftex

We have some strange colour problem with pdf graphics,
converted from eps exported by xfig. So there is plenty
of ways where the problem is rooted :-(

We have two simple graphics, t1.eps and t2.eps.
They differ only in the definition of one color,
as diff shows:

	aipc10(sneumann):t>diff t1.ps t2.ps
	6126c6126
	< /col1 {0.000 0.000 0.000 srgb} bind def
	---
	> /col1 {0.000 0.000 1.000 srgb} bind def

col1 us used for the words "Applikation":

	grep col1 t1.ps
	...
	1 -1 sc (Applikation) col1 sh gr

The first included image should have black {0.000 0.000 0.000 srgb}
Text, the second blue Text {0.000 0.000 1.000 srgb}.

However, first images uses the TeX-Textcolor red,
set beforehand using \color{red}.
An example can be seen in
http://www.techfak.uni-bielefeld.de/~sneumann/testpdflatex.pdf

Any Ideas where to continue to look for the problem ?

Yours,
Steffen

There is also a tgz archive with the important files on
http://www.techfak.uni-bielefeld.de/~sneumann/testpdflatex.tgz

Another report is at http://privatewww.essex.ac.uk/~mjreed/tmp/index.html
We use xfig 3.2.3d and gs7 on SuSE Linux, also tried TeXLive7 on Solaris.
