[pdftex] hyperref relative to local directory?

Dear pdfTeXer:
I would like to create a link out of an PDF document, that refers to a file residing in the same folder as the pdf file.
(So that I can move PDF and target and the link still works...)

However, if I use \href{file.html}{blabla} or \href{file:file.html}{blabla}  the link searches for http://file.html. 
All my efforts using something like \hyperbaseurl{./} or {file:} did not produce the required result.
