[pdftex] how to use \pdffontattr?

Hallo!

I'd like to write a text with 'hollow' letters -i mean, I wanna to draw only the contour of letters. It is possible to get it by setting the border and background colors of the text? Does the \pdffontattr command allow it? (I haven't found  any docu about it)
