[pdftex] pdftex on HP

   The last few lines of the make output(less any typos) read:

/bin/sh ../libtool --mode=link gcc -o pdftex ...
gcc -o pdftex pdftexini.o pdftex0.o pdftex1.o pdftex2.o pdftex3.o pdftextextra.o lib/lib.a ../kpathsea/.libs/libkpathsea.a -lm
Collect 2: ld returned 1 exit status
/bin/ld: Unsaisfied symbols:
readconfigfile (first referenced in pdftexini.o) (code)
printID (first referenced in pdftex3.o) (code)
....
printcreationdate (first referenced in pdftex1.o) (code)
*** Error exit code 1
Stop.
*** Error exit code 1
Stop.
