[pdftex] Installing on RedHat server

although I am not sure I can copy on my IPS's machine. He just left for
vacation, for two weeks, and I have permission only on a few directories.
Any emergency plan I may adopt? (what do you mean by "[y]our 'current' dir."?)

Otherwise, most likely, I will get  Linux on my PC (by some partition) and
check everything over there.


btw: do you know why pdftex.map it is not there?
