there are papers submitted by iranian, chinese, vietnamese, korean and 
other tex users; so far the iranians had to draw back their proposal due to 
lack of visum; on previous occasions thanh had no problem, but gigen todays 
more strick regulations ... i dunno about korea, but china has given 
problems in the past and it may be a problem now; these kin dof things much 
depend on the local ambassy and there is not much that tug/lugs can do 
about it apart from invitations (maybe there are influential users on this 
list -)
