[pdftex] jpgs in pdf problems

Hi,

I'm new here and a I hope that I will not write some
foolish things.

Well, I'm trying to include some jpegs in my tex file
with includegraphics command. Like this:

\includegraphics[width=5.3cm,height=2.19cm]{image.jpg}

The problem is that my image is not so great in the
.pdf like in reality. It's to big or to small. The
resolution is also bad.

When I set a smaller width and height the image is
better in the pdf file. But I can't guess all the
proper widths and heights for my images to look good.
How can I resolve that ?
