[pdftex] More on Spacing problem on imagesetter

Hi,

I've just faced the exact same problem...

I'm really confused:

I use an instance of an MM font made with Fontlab.

The font seem to be correct:

/fi {
        21 600 hsbw

/quoteright {
        26 238 hsbw

etc.

the AFM from it perfectly reflect the widths:


C 26 ; WX 600 ; N fi ; B 21 -1 582 687 ;
  
C 146 ; WX 238 ; N quoteright ; B 26 411 191 699 ;

and so is the TFM:

(CHARACTER O 2
   (CHARWD R 0.6)

(CHARACTER O 47
   (CHARWD R 0.238)


So where the hell does pdftex find those crazy values????

     (BTW, in some cases, the Widths are in an object, in other cases,
     it's in the FontDescriptor, is there a reason?)

In my case, it is possible that the font may be used in included
images, could an incorrect WIdths array be picked from them?
