[pdftex] pdfpages and pdflatex-tetex

Hello

I am running pdflatex that comes with tetex and also pdflatex that comes with 
miktex 2.1 (the reason will be obvious in a mo).

pdflatex-tetex doesn't support pdfpages on my tex doc but pdflatex-miktex 
does.  I have browsed the web for unpdate of tetex but it seems that the last 
one was two years ago.

How can I get a pdflatex version that works with both tetex and pdfpages?  
Any workaround?
