[pdftex] pdftex installation on aix4

I have installed teTeX, which brings an outdated release of pdftex (13d).
Even with an updated pdftex.def, I have warnings and/or errors because 
of the old version of pdftex.
Where can I find an up-to-date pdftex installation for aix4 (rs6000)?
I would prefer a binary installation, if possible...

PS
is teTeX a wise choice? It looks to me that it is no longer supported, 
but at ctan.org it is still suggested as best choice.
Are there (still for aix/rs6000) better implementations?
