[pdftex] page size with pdfjadetex

   I must be missing something, but as long as there's no dimensional
   conversion being done (e.g. rendering RGB in printer's points in one
   place and big/postscript points in the other, the results would be the
   same, no?

If you do arithmetic by using \p@ at the end of real numbers and then
using TeX's \the primitive to get the print version of the final result,
from which you remove the string `pt', then you have relied on \p@
being a 1pt.
