[pdftex] YAP (MiKTeX 2.1) and CJK font problems

Hi all,

In MiKTeX 1.20e I had no problem using CJK (CJK V4.2) pfa fonts
with either YAP, GSView, or pdfLaTeX. But after updating to
MiKTeX V2.1, YAP fails either to load the CJK fonts or to
generate the pk fonts, while GSView and pdfLaTeX still work
normally. Does anyone has a similar experience or know a cure?
