pdftex cannot find virtual fonts (pcrr7t.vf and the likes). But I cannot
tell exactly why. You can try:
pdflatex -kp=-1 tfont 2>f.txt
and have a look into f.txt to check what is wrong. Sorry, this is rather
system-dependent and I cannot help much here.
