[pdftex] Can't see Lucida fonts in .dvi

(1) Do you have the LucidaBright + LucidaNewMath fonts? :-)

(2) Does your DVI previewer support Type 1 fonts?

If it does, have you set up the various auxiliary files
to let it know where the files are and what to do with them?
