[pdftex] gif --> eps --> pdf. HELP ME.

use .gif for dvi version, .png for pdf version and use the command
\includegraphics{picture}  % no extension

to convert picture.gif to picture.png there is a simple command
line tool gif2png (http://www.tuxedo.org/~esr/gif2png/)
