The ArtBox in my example is exactly correct, i.e., it is the bounding
box of the artwork itself. Incidentally Illustrator's internal save
format really seems to be postscript because after that initial pdf
stuff there is a long section of what looks like plain postscript and
sure enough it has %%BoundingBox in there and it is correct and it has
the same values as ArtBox.
