[pdftex] Use It ?

You are confusing two things here; the fact that a country has officially
adopted the metric system does not imply that its citizens use only A4 paper;
at least in two cases I know (Mexico and Colombia) letter-sized paper is used
even though the official system is the metric system.

And I think the "industrialization" argument has no relevance in this case;
pdftex is not meant to be used only by industrialized countries; is it?
What does the industry have to do with documentation in PDF?
We should accept the fact that some people use A4 and some other people use
letter-size and be prepared to accept both standards; it's not too much to ask
for.
