Hi, concerning version 1.00a-pretest of pdftex: it was rather released in hurry and it's not meant to be stable yet. I will look at it more carefully in Sept or later when I am back in vietnam. At the meantime, the recommended version is the one released with texlive-6.0 (1.0 unofficial). Regards, Thanh
