afaik the status was: (1) the not sorted out issue of the syntax of 
primitives and (2) potential object content parsing side effects and (3) no 
full guarantee on completeness [partly due to lack of specs]. Version 1 
needs to be real stable and correct, and the current tl6 version seems to 
be so.
